Construction materials and slag business
A by-product of the steel production process, slag can play an important role in construction depending on its utilization. Fuwa Sangyo, a member of the Fuwa Group, delivers blast furnace slag and steel slag generated from leading steel manufacturers, and steel slag generated from electric furnace manufacturers (EAF slag) to the domestic market.
Due to its characteristics, slag has been designated, in recent years, as a low environmental impact material through conservation of resources and energy.
It is now one of the priority procurement items according to the Law Concerning the Promotion of Procurement of Eco-Friendly Goods and Services by the State and Other Entities, and it is used as public works material as well.
